Training From Poverty to Self-Sufficiency
It is not an easy task to train employees of the Labour Offices about generational poverty. They have rich experience with people from poverty. Their experience is not always good. Quite on the contrary, it is often sad and very bad. Their work is demanding, difficult, besides fieldwork and contacts with their clients, they are overwhelmed by the bureaucracy. Unfortunately, the work of Labour Offices employees, is not adequately valued. No wonder, that despite of their good intentions and expertise, sometimes the stereotypes such as „The Roma are responsible for themselves,… it is their fault.” Many disappointments spring from unfulfilled expectations of their enormous efforts to protect and help their clients.
