Education is our first priority.

We believe that a thriving society is made up of educated individuals sharing a sense of responsibility towards themselves, others and their environment. For people living in marginalized Roma communities (MRCs), access to education is hindered by a lack of stimulation and motivation coming from the home environment, which teaches them a lot on how to survive in generational poverty, yet nothing on how to live through a day in the classroom. While children from the majority enter the formal education system with basic hygiene habits and a certain level of language and social skills, children from MRCs fall well short in all these aspects. The absence of equal opportunities from day one of entering school makes the differences between children from MRCs and other children increase throughout the entire formal learning experience, causing many of the children from MRCs to leave school before completing it. Aware of the need to overcome the limitations, children struggle with when faced with the school environment, we start training them from the age of three and continue to provide relevant education throughout their lives, aware that learning is a life-long process. We would like to see our clients grow and develop their skills ”from the cradle to a career.”

Currently, we focus mainly on children and youth. Attention is paid to the education of adults, especially teachers, educators and other professionals in the field of formal and informal education in Slovakia.

At the same time, we provide support to teachers, pedagogy workers and other professionals in the field of education to introduce new methods and approaches to enhance the development of their students´ potential to the full.
